At Empowerment House Wellness, we believe in combining mental and physical therapy to build an empowered athlete to show up as their best self in sport and in life. Recognizing the difficulty in facing tough topics and tough times, we build a strong and safe environment to tackle all of the obstacles that prevent an athlete from showing up their best.
WHY US?
Because at Empowerment house, we are masters at eliminating the stigma of reaching out for help for mental obstacles, we normalize facing mental and physical challenges and overcoming them in an empowered way. We learn about you beyond your talent and your sport and we help build you into the best version of yourself on and off the turf.

At Empowerment House Wellness, we specialize in parts systems therapy combining trauma informed and DBT to process difficult past experiences and find empowerment from them. Playing from a hurt and traumatized place is effective but erratic, unpredictable & short lived. Playing from a stable empowered place is consistent, powerful and successful.

At Empowerment House Wellness, we believe that every client is unique and deserves a personalized treatment plan. Our therapists work closely with each client to develop a plan that suits their individual needs, goals, and preferences. We use evidence-based practices and regularly review progress to ensure our clients are getting the most effective treatment possible.

We understand that seeking therapy can be a difficult and vulnerable experience. That's why at Empowerment House Wellness, we strive to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. Our therapists are compassionate professionals who are dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals.

Amanda is a former figure skater and rugby player who found a passion for the world of athletics early on in her career. Amanda hold a Bachelor's degree, Mater's degree, is an Athletic Therapist (CATA), clinical counsellor (CCPA) and Psychotherapist (CRPO) among other titles obtained over the past 15 years of practical experience.
Amanda believes strongly in finding creative ways to provide mental and physical support to athletes whom are trained from a young age about the stigma surrounding asking for help, encouraged to simply "suck it up" & working with the athlete culture of appearing "weak" in asking for help or taking a step back. Amanda's motto is if you can't beat them, join them and therefore, Amanda strives to implement support among the athletic community where it would foster an informed and supportive environment reducing the pressures of the athletes to have to ask for help, but rather it simply be surouding them when they need it. Amanda strives everyday to demonstrate that there can be an empowered and safe way to talk about difficult topics and is eager to educate and guide the world of athletics of this concept.
